What Does A Marketing Strategy Look Like

A business owner needs to invest in a marketing strategy that generates quality leads, increases conversion rates, and protects margins. A solid marketing strategy helps generate more quality leads without cutting prices.

So what does marketing strategy look like? From my perspective, a marketing strategy covers 5 basic elements.

Clear definition of target prospects

As a business owner or marketer, it is crucial to know who your target audience is and how you can effectively reach them. From understanding what they want and need from your company's products to developing personas for the most effective marketing strategy, knowing as much about this group of people will put you ahead in any industry.

Clarity of message

The important part of a business is “branding”. Is your company's personality clear and identifiable? Are you able to communicate quickly who you are, what makes you unique, and why people should buy from you rather than a competitor? If not then it might be time for some sales-ready messaging.

Multi-faceted tactics

In order to increase your target market's awareness of who you are, why they should do business with you, and how good the results will be when they choose to work with you, a solid marketing strategy needs to include several different channels. 8 out of 10 top marketers say that digital is an important pathway for them in reaching their markets; so it would seem prudent for all businesses (regardless if small or large) not to overlook this valuable resource.
