confidential counseling
to help you get started in business or improve your
existing one. Please click on the appropriate link

Face-To-Face
Counseling
The Los Angeles Chapter of SCORE offers
confidential face-to-face counseling at no charge to U. S. Citizens.
The Chapter has over 70 counselors with
a variety of skill sets and we offer this counseling in
over 30 locations throughout Los Angeles County.
All of our counselors can guide you on
how to get your business off to a good start with the
best odds for success.
Most counseling sessions are conducted
at one of our locations however on-site counseling is
available when a more complete evaluation of an on-going
business is needed.

NOTE: Two of our locations offer service 5 days a
week from 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM. These are the
Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce downtown
Los Angeles and
Glendale.

Email Counseling
The
SCORE
National web site offers Counseling by email. SCORE
business counselors, who have joined the SCORE
CyberChapter, provide answers to your business questions
by email. Counselors are listed by area of expertise and
geographic location.
To use email counseling go to the
SCORE
National web site, and:
- Method 1: In the Ask Score for Business Advice
Section select:
- Find a Counselor by Expertise
- Find a Counselor by State, or
- Enter keyword(s) or the topic(s) you wish to
discuss in the text box and press the
Find Counselor button
- Method 2: Select the Ask Score
link in the main menu, and:
- Briefly describe the area of interest in the
text box
- Select either nationwide or a geographic
location (optional)
- Press the Find Counselor button
- The system will search and display a list of
counselors that have expertise in your area of
interest, resumes, etc.
- Select a counselor who best meets your needs
- Fill in the information. This information is
private and will not be shared with anyone
- Briefly describe your business activity and pose
the questions that you need answered
- Press the Submit button
- Your SCORE counselor will reply with his or her
answer and keep the dialog going as long as you have
questions for them.
